This recipe for low carb tarte flambée just doesn't have a chop! The dough of the low carb tarte flambée does not contain any flour. Thus, this recipe is not only low in carbohydrates, it is also gluten-free.
In addition, the preparation is quick and particularly easy. You only need three ingredients for the dough. So it's perfect for when you're hungry in between or when you don't have the energy to cook something elaborate after exercise.

So, what are you waiting for? Top your tarte flambée as you like it, or in the classic way with bacon and spring onions. A real low carb highlight.

Here's how to do it:

These are the ingredients you'll need:

  • For the tarte flambée cream:
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • For the low carb dough:
  • 180 g low-fat quark
  • 120 g grated cheese light
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • For greasing:
  • 10 ml of oil
  • For proof:
  • 50 g spring onions, cut into rings
  • 70 g low-fat bacon, diced
  • 120 g grated cheese light

It's as simple as this:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.
  • For the tarte flambée cream: in a bowl, season the crème fraîche with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  • For the low carb tarte flambée dough: in another bowl, mix the low-fat quark with grated cheese light, eggs and salt.
  • Then line a baking tray with baking paper and brush it with oil. Spread the tarte flambée dough on top and bake for 15 minutes until light brown.
  • Remove from the oven, brush the tarte flambée base with the cream and top with spring onions, bacon and grated cheese. Bake again for 15 minutes.
  • Crunch off without a guilty conscience. Enjoy your meal!
