The watchword is lightness and fun, says the landlord Carlo Conti at the helm of the successful program that leads on Rai1 since 2012. Tale e quale show debuts from September 22 with its thirteenth edition every Friday and a whole new cast: "As always it is varied, but I do not call them competitors, I want to emphasize it, but protagonists. There are names that need no introduction. Many have a career that speaks for itself, but they get involved", says the Tuscan presenter who announces that he has just signed a contract that binds him to Rai for another 3 years "and with this I will reach the milestone of 40 years in this company".
At the presentation of Tale e quale show in addition to Conti, the cast and the jurors, also Marcello Ciannamea, Prime Time Entertainment Director, his deputy Giovanni Anversa and Leonardo Pasquinelli, CEO Endemol Shine Italy. There are a total of 12 VIPs who, under the guise of other VIPs, will compete in the most famous and appreciated imitation competition on the television scene: to take the field will be Pamela Prati, Maria Teresa Ruta, Ilaria Mongiovì, Ginevra Lamborghini and Jasmine Rotolo (daughter of the unforgettable Stefania), Jo Squillo enlisted at the last even if she had to be there before, after Cristina Scuccia's U-turn. And again Alex Belli, Scialpi, Gaudiano and Lorenzo Licitra, former winner of X Factor. To accompany them again this year the duo formed by Gabriele Cirilli and Francesco Paolantoni who will not do duets, but trios, with a companion to be identified every week. "The difficulty is to convince someone to do a 'beautiful' performance with you and for free," says Conti, specifying that last year Cirilli was the coach of Paolantoni, who was the repeater. An experience gone so badly that they are both repeating and there will be a third element that changes from time to time".
At the base, for Carlo Conti, at Tale e Quale there will never be controversy, but there must be fun and irony for the whole family. The race is always in the background, because it is variety, and it is no coincidence that the vote is always at the end of the episode. "I think it is a duty for a conductor to try to change, to follow the evolution of the public".
The jury was also confirmed, composed again by Loretta Goggi (present from the first edition), Giorgio Panariello and Cristiano Malgioglio. In each episode there will be a fourth judge a famous character of the show but 'imitated'. Conti anticipates that the fourth judge of the first episode will be Chiara Ferragni... "or such and such to her". Malgioglio emphasizes "I am direct, honest, transparent, I want to entertain people too". Then the lunge on Scuccia: "I don't miss him, it's not so important. Jo Squillo is more interesting.
Scuccia feared judgment and did not want to imitate transgressive artists." Conti does not ride the controversy: "These are artistic choices that Cristina has decided to make. She and her staff put conditions, even simple ones that we could not accept. If not, they should also be done with others." Italian adaptation of the Spanish format Tu cara me suena, the talent over the years has become one of the leading productions of the network and among the most commented on social media. A Rai entertainment production Endemol Shine. For the director Marcello Ciannamea: Tale Quale, "touches all levels of artistic expression, is a flagship of Rai that is addressed to the whole public". According to Loretta Goggi, at Tale e Quale "the artist returns to being an artist, without sending a message or demonstrating anything else disconnected from the artistic world". On Sanremo to those who ask Conti if he would do it again, he says: "I did three, one more fun than the other. Never say never."
