France Televisions presses the brake pedal. Public service channels will no longer broadcast the Dakar Rally from 2026. According to our information, the legendary motor race, created in 1978 by Thierry Sabine, is absent from the contract signed last July between the public group and Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), which renews the broadcasting rights of the Tour de France and many cycling races (Paris-Roubaix, Flèche Wallonne, Critérium du Dauphiné, Paris-Tours, etc.) until 2030.
