People magazine reported over the weekend that Turner filed a lawsuit against Jonas in a Manhattan court, demanding that their daughters, aged three and 14 months, return to England.

The British actress asked the court to "return the girls to England immediately". The filing also states that the couple decided that England would be the girls' permanent home, which is why they sold the mansion they purchased in Miami. According to reports, the two moved to England last April and even began looking for educational institutions for girls.

When Jonas and his brother went on tour, Turner allowed him to take the girls because she was busy filming the series. But since then, according to court documents, Jonas has taken the girls' passports and won't let them fly with their mother.

Page Six reported that the decision to separate came after an argument broke out between the couple last August, but Turner revealed that Jonas filed for divorce through the media.

So what caused the breakup? According to the Daily Mail, Jonas tried to save the marriage, but Turner's fondness for parties and entertainment caused a crisis between the two. A source close to the couple told the website, "For Joe, divorce was a last resort. He didn't want to break up the family, but he felt it was the best option for the children."

Voila! Celebs dream of moving to England, but her salary allows her to move beyond a pile of hay.
