Caution, health hazard with milk: Weihenstephan and Sachsenmilch are recalling packs. Among other things, children should not drink them under any circumstances.
Kassel – Hardly any other food is as much in everyday use as milk. For many people, it belongs in the coffee first thing in the morning. In hundreds of thousands of households in Germany, it is always in the refrigerator, even though milk alternatives are becoming increasingly popular. All the more frightening when such an everyday food is recalled. Currently, it is not recommended to consume several products at once. The two well-known manufacturers Weihenstephan and Sachsenmilch warn their customers.

In the case of the recall of Sachsenmilch, only one pack size is affected.

Several dairies recall milk: Weihenstephan and Sachsenmilch provide the same explanation
Information about the recalls will be provided in two press releases each for Weihenstephan and Sachsenmilch. The reports read very similarly, both speak of a "microbiological deviation" that is said to be able to trigger infections. Especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly, pregnant women and children should not drink the milk. What exactly the deviation is and which infections can be specifically caused is not specified. Anyone who has purchased milk affected by the recall can also return it without a receipt and receive the purchase amount back there.
However, milk is not the only product currently under recall. A dessert is also being recalled – the reason for this is salmonella.
