The flow of refugees in the Darien jungle, one of the most dangerous migratory routes in the world, between Colombia and Panama, has reached record figures: 5 thousand hectares of hell between snakes, scorpions and traffickers to reach the United States, passing through Mexico.
According to a document released by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), in the first eight months of the year 350,250 people have already entered the forest, compared to 2022,<> for the whole of <>.
In the face of growing migratory pressure, the IRC is warning of humanitarian needs in Mexico, where food, water and health services are scarce.
