If you like to eat cherry pie, you'll love the Snow White cake. Due to the nut nougat cream, the cake base is as black as ebony, the cream filling made of curd as white as snow and the cherries as red as blood. The fire brigade cake also has a pictorial name.
Cake recipe: You need the following ingredients for the Snow White cake

- 100 g soft butter
- 150 g of sugar
- 3 sachets of vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 250 g of flour
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 125 ml of milk
- 2 tbsp nut nougat cream
- 400 ml of cream
- 1 packet of cream stiffener
- 500 g cottage cheese
- 1 packet of cake glaze

Preparation: How to bake the classic Snow White cake
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat (convection oven 170 degrees Celsius) and line a springform pan with baking paper. Drain the cherries with the help of a sieve, collecting the juice.Beat the butter, sugar and a packet of vanilla sugar with a mixer until fluffy. While stirring, add the eggs. This is followed by flour and baking powder and the milk. Mix all the ingredients to an even batter.Pour two-thirds of the dough into the springform pan. Mix the remaining third with the nut nougat cream before adding it to the springform pan. Spread the cherries on the cake and bake in the preheated oven for a good half hour.Whip the cream with the cream stiffener until stiff. In another bowl, mix the curd with two packets of vanilla sugar. Then fold in the cream. Mix the packet of cake glaze with the cherry juice.When the cake has cooled, place the cake filling on top, smooth it out and spread the cherry pie glaze over it. Place the Snow White cake in the fridge to set.
