No day in the Premier League for the two Manchester teams. In fact, both City and United lost in their respective engagements during the week's matchday. The European champions, without the suspended Rodri and the injured Bernardo Silva, Stones and De Bruyne, had to surrender (it ended 2-1), scoring with an own goal by Ruben Dias and with the Korean Hwang Hee-Chan. It is therefore useless the feat of the world champion Alvarez on a free kick. United, with Onana in goal, Amrabat in his unusual role as left-back and Hojlund at the centre of the attack, lost at home, 0-1, to Crystal Palace, who imposed themselves thanks to a feat by the former Dorian Andersen. Instead, Odegaard's Arsenal smile (for him a goal, an assist and a penalty won in the 4-0 at Bournemouth) and Tonali's Newcastle, who started from the bench in the success (2-0) against Burnley. West Ham and Luton Town also won, against Sheffield United and Everton respectively. Man City remain first, with 18 points, but now have only one length ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal. Tottenham, Brighton and Aston Villa follow at 15.
