A toxin was found in 24 products of a cheese dairy, which is why they are being recalled. Especially for children and seniors, there is a danger from consumption.
Munich – Many people like to go shopping at markets. Products are often sold directly from the farm, many of which promise good product quality. But here, too, there may be deficiencies, as is currently the case with some products from the Achim Uhl mobile cheese dairy. According to the portal produktwarnung.eu, 24 products are currently affected by a recall. Recently, there have been several cheese recalls, once even the entire range was affected. Just one day, the discounter Lidl recalled cheese contaminated with bacteria.

Cheese dairy has to recall 24 products – toxin in brine forms dangerous bacteria
The reason for the cheese recall is the detection of verotoxin in the brine and lubricating water used for production. The toxin can form the bacterium Escherichia coli, which can lead to a food infection. The disease usually manifests itself within a week and is accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal fights and diarrhea, reports the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety on the portal lebensmittelwarnung.de.
Especially for people with weakened immune systems such as children, seniors or people with pre-existing conditions, there is a risk of severe disease sales. In rare cases, children may even develop acute kidney failure in a second episode of the disease. Anyone who experiences severe symptoms such as bloody discharge after eating the cheese products should urgently seek medical help.
A popular Parmesan cheese was also recently recalled, as its consumption could "lead to injury to the mouth and throat".
