Arrives in Italy, with the first market tests, "Oliba. Green Beer", green beer with olive oil. The product, of Spanish origin credited as the first of its kind and awarded for innovation at the Sial-world exhibition of food innovation, is currently being tasted in the capital at "ShowRum - Italian Rum Festival" - exhibition dedicated to sugar cane distillates.
"Oliba", produced with Pyrenean olives in Bohemian Pilsner style, is made with barley and wheat malt, hops, yeast, olive extract, safflower concentrate and spirulina. In the processing process the olive extract - reads the product website - is added after the fermentation process and the green color of the green is conferred is by the olive extract and spirulina (superfood). The beer is gluten-free. On the olfactory level - says the representation in Italy - there are hints of olive and subtle notes of olive leaf.
"We have started distributing it in Italy - says Fabrizio Calvani, representative of Oliba Green Beer - in the cities of Viterbo, Chieti and Bari and we are working to present it in other locations. Its consumer cost is between 4 and 5 euros. The product is made by the Costa group and is currently already distributed in various parts of the world".
