When she was a child, Monica had to polish the floors of the Benedictine convent, on her knees, under the orders of the stern nuns, who raised her until she was 14 years old. A placement in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) of which she has painful memories. "I sang to give myself courage. A sister came up with the idea of putting me in the church choir. I was 8 years old, and I've been singing ever since. It always helped me when I was on the brink. Monica is 84 springs old, lives in Évry (Essonne) and has fulfilled a dream by appearing in "France has an incredible talent". Her audition this Tuesday night on M 6 will make Marianne James cry her eyes out, from the first notes of "Mon Dieu".
