On Wednesday 15 November, the Centre national du livre (CNL) held, with the complicity of Librairie 7L, the second edition of its dinner for first-time novelists: a prestigious evening dedicated to the new faces of French literature. Nestled on rue de Verneuil, in the heart of the Hôtel d'Avejan, the event was preceded by a cocktail at the 7L bookstore, founded in 1999 by Karl Lagerfeld and acquired in 2021 by Chanel. The list of booksellers previously established by the magazine Livres Hebdo has brought together twelve promising novelists. The objectives of the CNL and its president Régine Hatchondo with this event: to promote emerging authors of French literature and to promote intergenerational solidarity between new and established authors. This approach aims to create an environment conducive to learning and mutual inspiration, thus strengthening the bonds between authors.
