Eden Hasson is the most played artist in Israel for the second consecutive year, according to data released by music platform Spotify on Wednesday as part of Wrapped, its regular year-end project. According to the streaming giant, Hasson is the artist whose subscribers in Israel listened to more than any other Israeli or international musician.

Second place went to Eyal Golan and third place went to Omer Adam. The other two positions in the top five are occupied by Tuna and Taylor Swift respectively. Next in descending order on the list: Osher Cohen, Ravid Plotnik, Peer Tessy, Odia and The Weeknd, who constitute the second part of the list of the ten most played in Israel.

According to the published figures, Israelis prefer to listen to singers based in Zion, with listening to local produce increasing by 30 percent in the past year. This can be assumed and attributed to iron sword warfare. As you can see, eight of the ten artists most listened to by Israelis are actually Israelis themselves (with the exception of Swift and The Weeknd). This is also reflected in the list of the ten most played albums in Israel, which is entirely dominated by blue-and-white musicians. The most listened to album on Spotify in Israel in 2023 is "Liraz", singer Static's first solo record, since parting ways with his professional partner Ben-El Tabori. Second place went to Peer Tessy's "Space Radio" and third place was "Wild East" by rapper Tuna. Rounding out the top five are Eyal Golan's "2023" and Omer Adam's "The End of the World." Also in the top ten in descending order: "Sunbeam" by Benia Barbie, "Tuna Park" by Tuna, Yasmin Mualem's second album "No World" and "Mammoth" by Paul Trunk.

A similar trend can be seen in the list of the ten most played songs in the year ending soon. Peer Tessy's "Sick Love" is the song Spotify subscribers have listened to more than any other song in the past 12 months. Next in second place is "Flowers" by American singer Miley Cyrus, the only foreign song in the top ten. This was followed by the live performance of Tuna's "Sahara," Static's "Rundles" and her son Barbie's hit "Sunbeam." In sixth place came "Unicorn", the song with which Noa Kirel represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest, while the rest of the places are manned by Eden Hasson's "Until You Come to Me" (7), "Hey Babe" by Tuna (8) and "I'm Here" and "Love" - both by Osher Cohen, in ninth and tenth places.

As for Spotify's figures abroad - it's not a big surprise to find out that Taylor Swift is the most played singer in the world in 2023. Latin sensation Bad Bunny is in second place and The Weeknd has taken third place. Also on the list: Drake (4), Peso Paloma (5), Travis Scott (7) and Lana Del Rey (10). The most played songs in the world this year were Miley Cyrus' "Flowers," Siza's "Kill Bill," Harry Styles' "As It Was" and South Korean star Jung Cook's "Seven," a member of the popular boy band BTS. Also on the list are Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer" and "Anti Hero" (6 and 10).

Among the most played foreign albums are Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" in first place, Taylor Swift's "Midnights" in second place and Siza's "SOS". The Weeknd's "Starboy" is in fourth place and Carol G's "Manana Sera Bonito" rounds out the top five. Also in the top ten: Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time" (6), Taylor Swift's "Lover" (7), Metro Boomin's "Villains & Heroes" (8), Peso Paloma's "Genesis" (9) and Harry Styles' "Harry's House."

On Spotify you can also listen to podcasts, about which the company also publishes its annual data today. In the world, as usual, it's host Joe Rogan's podcast that still tops the list. In Israel, the most popular podcast is N12's "One a Day". Next in descending order are "Gut Feeling", "Thinking Good", "Psychology, NLP Meditations" and "Marsupials". In other words, Israelis are mainly interested in news, quality of life and economics.
