The carabinieri of Madonna di Campiglio and Carisolo, in Trentino, reported four young people who had chosen the Brenta Dolomites to spend a weekend in luxury. These are two couples who stayed in a hotel in Val Rendena spending 6,000 euros and paying electronically.
Since both men have a specific record for having misused credit cards, the carabinieri decided to see clearly and the data of numerous credit cards of people from different areas of Italy were found on mobile phones. One of the two men, of Romanian origin, believed to be the mastermind of the group given his computer skills, managed to hack into the computer systems of some travel agency and tour operator portals, stealing the card data of unsuspecting customers. He then paid for short vacations online and linked the card to the Apple Pay system on his mobile phone.
