The last farewell to Giulia Cecchettn will be given on Tuesday 5 December, at 11.00 am, with the funeral ceremony scheduled in the Basilica of Santa Giustina. This can be read in the epigraphs already posted this morning in Vigonovo, Giulia's village. The authorization of the Public Prosecutor's Office to release the room to the family, after yesterday's autopsy, is expected in these hours. Santa Giustina is a church capable of accommodating thousands of people, overlooking Prato della Valle, a vast square that allows many to follow the ceremony, on maxi screens, even outside the basilica.
The autopsy on Giulia's body lasted a total of 14 hours. The exam, which began on Friday at 9:30 a.m., ended at 23:40 p.m. We learn this from qualified sources. A duration, it is explained, due to the complexity and the large number of investigations through which the experts answered the questions of the Public Prosecutor's Office. The causes of Gulia's death - it is emphasized by the sources - must be referred in any case to the injury of the stab wounds received by the young woman, not so much to the number of slashes or traumas, such as the head trauma, suffered by Giulia falling to the ground in the industrial area of Fossò, in the final part of the attack by Turetta. On Giulia's body, the examination would not have revealed evident traces, neither on the mouth nor on the hands, of bindings with tape. A piece of duct tape - which Filippo had purchased online before the murder - had been found, with traces of hair, in the area of the second attack carried out by Turetta on his ex-girlfriend in the industrial area of Fossò, on Saturday 11 November. As for the other traumas, there would be confirmation of a skull fracture on the victim, due to Giulia's fall to the ground, also in Fossò, caused by the fury of the suspect. This wound, however, would not have been decisive in death, which occurred by bleeding out.

Turetta to the prosecutor: "I wanted it for myself, terrible murder"
"I loved her, I wanted her for myself, I didn't accept that it was over." This is the meaning of the words he allegedly said to the prosecutor Filippo Turetta during yesterday's interrogation that lasted nine hours. The 21-year-old, as he has already done in his statements to the investigating magistrate, would have said that he wanted to "pay and serve the sentence for my responsibilities for a terrible murder".
