Strong winds and heavy rains: from South Tyrol to the Marches, bad weather is now affecting various regions, where damage of all kinds and numerous interventions by the fire brigade and Civil Protection are recorded.

Snow chaos in Tyrol and South Tyrol split in two, with 30 centimeters of snow at the Brenner Pass and further south rain even at high altitudes. This is what the first taste of this winter looks like.
On the northern side of the border ridge, in Austria, up to 60 centimeters of snow have fallen in the past few hours, causing closures and delays not only on roads but also for rail connections, as well as to Munich and Salzburg. In Tyrol, 4,000 customers are currently without electricity.
South Tyrol, on the other hand, is divided: in the north, with the arrival of cold air from Austria, snow falls to low altitudes, while in the south - due to the warm current that pushes from Italy - it rains up to 1500-2000 meters. As the hours go by, the phenomena will end in the valleys thanks to the arrival of the Föhn, while in the mountains they will continue until the afternoon, according to the weather report of the Province of Bolzano.
Tornado in the night in Bojano, extensive damage

The most affected area is that of Bojano (Campobasso) where a whirlwind damaged several cars. In the city there were also roofs and extensive damage with some streets invaded by glass, bricks, branches, billboards.

Due to the very strong storm, the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Livorno - which due to the orange alert for wind and storm surges today had already ordered the closure of parks and cemeteries - closed Viale Italia, on the seafront, between Piazza San Jacopo and Via Forte dei Cavalleggeri, to traffic. The day of galloping races at the Caprilli racecourse was also cancelled due to strong winds. Sistema Cavallo, the company that manages the facility, announces that the conditions do not exist to carry out the scheduled day of racing safely.
During the night, showers and thunderstorms were recorded, as reported around 3 a.m. by Governor Eugenio Giani on social media, "in particular over the northwestern areas, extending eastwards in the next few hours, which led to the rise in river levels in these areas. The Magra in Villafranca in Lunigiana has passed the first warning level and is located at about 2.5 meters".
With regard to the province of Florence, the Civil Protection of the Metrocity informs, over a period of three hours, from about 4 to 7 a.m., widespread rainfall
(maximum cumulative 42 mm in Nave di Rosano) but regular levels of the main waterways while "rainfall, associated with local gusts of wind, are causing local criticalities to the viability with debris and branches on the road surface".

Wind gusts of up to 143 km/h in Liguria
Strong winds or gales from the southwest persisted over Liguria during the night with gusts of up to 90-100 kilometers per hour on the La Spezia coast and widely over 120-140 kilometers per hour on the most exposed Apennine ridges, the maximum gust of 143 kilometers per hour was recorded in Tanadorso in the province of Genoa. These are the data recorded by the Ligurian Regional Agency for the Protection of the Environment (Arpal).
Various interventions by the fire brigade during the night due to fallen trees on the roads, particularly in the hinterland of central-eastern Liguria. Several landslides and fallen trees were recorded, in particular in Val Trebbia and in the hinterland of Tigullio. In La Spezia the peak of the Magra flood is passing through these moments. At the moment, no particular criticalities related to the transit of the flood are expected.
Gusts of wind, fallen trees and inconvenience in the Rimini area
The strong gusts of wind that have been blowing over the Rimini area since last night have caused, in the province, the fall of branches and trees on the ground, even on the roadway. According to what has been learned, 150 interventions have been carried out by the Fire Brigade - in constant collaboration with the Civil Protection and the police - while reports of inconveniences related to the gusts of 'garbino', a hot wind that has been blowing since yesterday, continue.
In the past few hours, Arpae and the regional Civil Protection had issued an orange alert for the strong wind over several areas of Emilia-Romagna as well as a red alert, for today, for the risk of landslides, runoff and river floods in the Reggio Emilia and Parma plains.
Due to the gusts of wind blowing over the Rimini area, electricity pylons would have been damaged, again according to what has been learned, and inconveniences would have been recorded for the scaffolding in some construction sites.
AIPO; alert for Emilian rivers, attention to the flooding of the Enza

Strong wind in the Pescara area, fallen trees and near tragedy
