Vasa, the Phantom Galleon", at 20:50 p.m., on Arte. What was supposed to be a marvel of King Gustav II Adolphus of Sweden's military fleet initially turned out to be a disaster, only to be restored to its former glory three centuries later. On its maiden voyage in 1628, the "Vasa" sailed away from the Royal Palace in Stockholm, only to sink eighteen minutes later, less than 2 km away. The wreck was found in the 1960s, refloated and then preserved, and since 1990 it has been the subject of a museum that has been specially designed to show the ship to the public.
