A man died and three other people were injured this Sunday morning by a lightning strike in Santiago del Estero, while they were participating in a party of 15.
According to El Liberal, after a strong storm broke out, the guests at the celebration sought shelter indoors, although the phenomenon still caused damage.
Víctor Lescano, 26, was one of the four people hit by the lightning strike in the Puma Huasi area, Quebrachos department.
The man, invited to the festive event at the home of a neighbor identified as Sergio Cabrera, was confirmed dead after being transferred to the district hospital in Sumampa.
The other three people, reports the same media, are out of danger.
Betiana Oroná, 23, "was one of the most serious," according to information revealed by Nuevo Diario. The woman was taken to the city of Ojo de Agua, as she was unresponsive.
Police personnel from the 33rd precinct are in charge of the investigation of the incident, under the orders of the prosecutor on duty, Belkis Alderete.

On social media, Lescano's friends and family said goodbye to the young man. "Fly high, let the light that has no end shine on you," the victim's sister wrote on her Facebook profile.
"My tears are unstoppable. Give me strength to keep going," he added.
