This is what emerges from an analysis by Coldiretti, which collaborated on the Immigration Statistical Dossier of the Idos Study and Research Center, on the occasion of the second click day of the 2023 flows decree for the 'family and social-health care' sector; On Tuesday 12 December, however, the one for non-EU seasonal workers will start, which establishes, for the year 2023 alone, 82,550 entry quotas. This is mainly seasonal work with peaks in demand during the summer harvest periods. "It is important to address the issue of the availability of labor with more efficient flow management - says the president of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini - starting from the three-year decree, taking into account that not only do we go from 42 thousand seasonal work units to 82 thousand in 2023 up to 90 thousand in 2025, but above all that the quotas reserved for agricultural associations for their members go from 22 thousand last year to 40 thousand this year, ensuring that our companies have regular workers at their disposal and that they do not suffer unfair competition from those who exploit people".
