On this occasion, director Richard Curtis looked back at the genesis of the film with revelations that surprised many. He explained to LADbible on November 27 that if he had to do it all over again, he wouldn't choose Keira Knightley if he had to shoot the film today. The filming of Love Actually in 2003 is at the centre of the debate. He said the English actress was 18 years old at the time, but played the role of a more mature woman in love with older men.

"I'm really interested in whether I'm now thinking, 'Don't do that,'" he said. "And in fact, we probably wouldn't have taken someone that young today." A choice that, in view of our current software, appears to be out of step.
