Fluffy, creamy and irresistible: Whipped Camembert as a spread and dip for bread, crackers or vegetables. Quick to prepare and even faster to eat.

Whipped Camembert – a cheese dream that melts in your mouth and hardly causes any trouble in the kitchen! This creamy star in the dip sky has been making waves on the video platform TikTok alongside the spicy Whipped Feta Dip, proving that sophistication doesn't have to be complicated.
Quick and easy to prepare, it is the ideal candidate for unexpected guests or relaxing evenings. Whether as a smooth spread or as an elegant dip, the Whipped Camembert always cuts a fine figure.

According to Alpenhain, the origin of Camembert dates back to the 18th century, a time of turmoil and change in France. During the French Revolution, a priest from the Brie region found refuge in the village of Camembert. He found shelter with an imaginative farmer's wife. In gratitude for her hospitality, the priest shared his knowledge of cheese-making with her, including the recipe for a cheese with an edible skin – the birth of the legendary Camembert.

This cheese, which soon began its triumphal march around the world, now serves as the basis for a variety of recipes. From the rustic simplicity of a baked camembert with peaches, which perfectly harmonizes the sweet and savory notes, to the viral baked camembert pasta that has taken TikTok by storm alongside the baked feta pasta (with pumpkin).

This is how easy it is to prepare:

  • Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the red onions until translucent. Then add sugar and caramelize. Finally, deglaze with dark balsamic vinegar and allow to reduce briefly. Set aside.
  • Process Camembert in a food processor to form a cream. This is easier if the Camembert has been taken out of the fridge half an hour before preparation.
  • Serve in a deep plate and garnish with caramelized onions, honey, thyme and pistachios.
  • Toasted bread goes best with it.
  • Enjoy your meal!

By the way, with the leftover rind of the Camembert, you can conjure up delicious cheese crackers from the oven in no time at all. In addition to toasted bread, they serve as the perfect side dish for the dip.
