Trenitalia closed the first 10 months of the year with "over half a billion passengers", 20% more than in the same period of 2022. This was said by CEO Luigi Corradi while presenting the 'Winter Experience 2023/2024'. According to Corradi, the contribution of digital channels was decisive, totalling "over 190 million accesses" (+20%) and "82 million trips purchased". +31% more.

More Frecce trains between Milan and Rome and greater capillarity to connect large cities, medium-sized towns and Christmas markets This is Trenitalia's winter campaign (Winter Experience 2023/2024) presented at Milan's Central Station by CEO Luigi Corradi. Among the novelties of the timetable that starts from next December 10, there are 2 new Frecciarossa connections between Milan and Rome without intermediate stops in just 2 hours and 50 minutes, adding to the other 7 that already cover the distance between the two cities in less than three hours. A further 6 additional Frecciarossa trains, with intermediate stops and travel times starting from 3 hours and 10 minutes, will bring the number of connections per day to 100. Of these, 4 (2 outward and 2 return) will extend their run to Turin, while 2 (one outward and one return) will connect Milan with Naples. Five Frecciarossa trains will reduce journey times by up to 30 minutes between Milan, Rimini, Ancona and Puglia. A total of 26 Frecciarossa trains per day, 11 of which are faster, will guarantee connections between the Lombard capital and the Adriatic Coast. In addition, 2 new Frecciarossa trains between Milan and Venice will bring the number of daily connections between the two cities to 44.
