After a four-year absence, the rap group PNL, a duo composed of Ademo and his brother N.O.S, announced on Thursday its return with a single entitled Gaza, in reference to the Palestinian enclave, the scene of the conflict between Israel and Hamas for the past two months. "For the love of life/In the name of humanity/God is great/A day of peace," PNL wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter), in a message accompanied by a one-minute video viewed nearly 4 million times, in just three hours.
The single available on Friday
Gaza will be available from Friday midnight on streaming platforms. PNL has been a phenomenal success in France since 2015. The band was launched with the song Le monde ou rien, the video for which was shot in La Scampia, a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Naples.
Extremely discreet, the two brothers from the Cité des Tarterêts, in Corbeil-Essonnes, practice minimal communication and do not express themselves in the media. Their third and most recent self-produced album Deux frères dates back to October 2019. The video for Au DD, shot on the Eiffel Tower, earned them a Victoire de la Musique in 2020 (best music video).
