What happens when an Iranian artist and an Israeli artist decide to cooperate against Iran in Israel?

Today (Monday) a new graffiti wall will be inaugurated in Kiryat Al-Malakha in Tel Aviv, showing the connection between those among the Iranian people, who oppose the government in Iran, and the Israeli people.

Homan Kahalili, a pro-Israeli Iranian artist living in the United States, longed to express on the wall the opposition to Iranian rule and the existing positive relationship, as he sees it, between Israel and Iran.

In order to fulfill his desire, he contacted Ora Tsechanovitz from the "Graffiti Trail".

In recent years, Ora has been bringing street artists to Kiryat to create a huge graffiti complex there.

Hundreds of works of graffiti sprout from the walls here, political graffiti of protest alongside light and happy paintings.

At the same time, Homan turned to the street artist Shir Lamdan, so that he would put the protest on the wall.

Shir responded positively and together they embroidered the wall.

This is the largest wall Shir has created so far, and also the most detailed.

The two flags of the countries, Israel and Iran, complement each other.

In Iran there were many citizens who mourned Shir-El's death

The painting looks at first glance like a picture from a museum, and not a picture we would expect to find in a graffiti project.

Ora allocated a separate and respectable wall space for the painting, also because of the many details that appear in the painting and mainly because of the subject.

The painting is part of an ongoing project that Homan is leading in Israel.

In the project, he strengthens the will of the Iranian people and the Israeli people in a life of peace and under a regime of peace.

In particular, he emphasizes the women who suffer even more in oppressive regimes.

In the painting, the Israeli soldier of Iranian origin, Shir-el Pour Haim, the late Rishon Lezion, who was murdered on October 10. It turns out that there were many citizens in Iran who heard about Shir-el and mourned her death. Iran-Israel relations.

As an activist for women and for women's freedom, he wanted two more female figures to appear on the wall. The figure on the lion is Kosar, an Olympic medalist in archery, who won a silver medal for Iran. In addition to being an Olympic winner, Kosar is also a regime opponent She participated in the hijab protests, where the Iranians protested the obligation of women in the Muslim world to wear the hijab. The punishment in Iran for participating in the protests is a shot in one eye to the point of blindness, so that they would see and be seen. This is also the punishment that Kosar received, so here she is pictured with Her retort. Kosar says that, despite the price she paid, she has no regrets about her protest. Kosar rides a lion, which is a symbol of Iran, but also of Jerusalem.

The background for the painting is reminiscent of a desert landscape like the Negev

The graffiti painting lasted about two weeks.

During the period it was decided that the background for the painting would resemble a desert landscape like the Negev.

Just on the next street, another lion was added on the walls.

During the work on the painting, Ora made contact with a Jewish artist from the United States, who came to volunteer in Israel and together with another street artist they chose to create graffiti of a lion and the Israeli flag.

Queen Esther also appears in the painting, which also shows the connection between Israel and Iran.

In one hand is a pomegranate, a fruit that symbolizes the seven species and Israel.

In her other hand is a flower symbolizing Iran.

Ora from the "Graffiti Trail" conducts tours of the graffiti project throughout the year.

Today, she will give a short overview of the complex and a number of selected graffiti works, free of charge, to those who come to see the new wall.
