The Federation of Young Farmers of Belgium (Fja) threatens a total blockade of Brussels "in the next few days", saying it is "determined" to intensify the demonstrations and not ruling out the blockade of large-scale distribution centres.
The national media reported it.
The Federation has not yet announced a date for the start of the total lockdown of the capital, but indicates that "it could happen as early as Wednesday or Thursday".
In recent days, Belgian farmers had already expressed their willingness to mobilize with tractors in Brussels on Thursday 1st February, coinciding with the extraordinary summit of EU leaders.
