The bullring in Mexico City returned to being the scene of a bullfight on Sunday, after the activity had been suspended for almost two years, following protests led by animal rights associations, who returned to demonstrate on this occasion too.
Several groups opposed to bullfighting met at the Glorieta de Insurgentes, from where with banners reading "murderers" and "killing is not culture" they marched along Avenida Insurgentes to the square where the 'fiesta brava' was taking place.
