"Conflicts of interest, transparency and guarantees. Today the Republic has two pages on conflicts of interest of parliamentarians and government members. Tomorrow we will present a bill to regulate conflicts of interest inspired by that of the European Commission (which I applied to the ministry) and of Parliament European Union and a rule to regulate lobbies. Conflicts of interest kill democracy because they generate mistrust among citizens and distort the democratic process. Again tomorrow we will take stock of justice reforms together with Enrico Costa. Guarantee and public ethics are elements that must come together to have justice fair and credible policy".
