It's so easy and quick to bake the potato and cheese gratin in the oven
While the oven is preheating to 180 degrees top and bottom heat, the potatoes can be peeled and sliced into thin slices.
Peel the garlic and onion and chop finely.
Grease a gratin or casserole dish with a little butter (or alternatively a little oil).
In the next step, pour the cream and milk into the baking dish.
Season generously with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Now fold in the grated Parmesan, the potato slices, onions and garlic.
Bake on the middle shelf in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
Then sprinkle with the grated cheese and small flakes of butter and bake again for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
Bon appetit!

For example, we recommend serving a large mixed salad with the gratin.
