Many dogs love splashing around in the water.
But in winter this fun can quickly become dangerous.
Bob, a black four-legged friend, was lucky in misfortune and was rescued in time by the fire department.
“Bob the dog loves the water,” writes the local fire department, the North Davis Fire District from West Point, Utah, in a touching
post.
Even when there is ice and snow, the black four-legged friend still insists on taking a jump into the cool water.
But after his most recent swim, the brittle ice prevented him from climbing out of the cold water on his own.
So the four-legged friend was stuck in the pond in Davis County after his walk.
The need was great and so the fire department finally arrived.

After the firefighters arrived, one man immediately took the initiative: Firefighter Logan slipped into his drysuit to come to Bob's aid.
Connected to a winch, Logan crawled off.

After the successful rescue operation, Bob finally has safe ground under his feet again.
After shaking the cold water out of his fur, the dog runs towards his relieved owners with his tail wagging.
While Bob and his people greet each other in the background, firefighter Logan is pulled off the ice using the winch.
He did a “fantastic job,” praised the North Davis Fire District in the
post.
