The mystery of the red-haired giants found in Lovelock Cave/Ancient Citizens
Mythology, folklore and even the Bible tell us that in the distant past giants roamed the earth - and it turns out that there is evidence that supports this claim, although there are also quite a few doubts about it.
Extraordinary human remains were found in Nevada, with some skeletons reaching a height of up to 3 meters. Along with their jaw-dropping size, the bodies - some of which were mummified - were found with red hair. This prompted the theory, passed down from generation to generation in legends, that an extinct race of humans ruled the American Southwest. According to

Legend has it that the Si-Te-Cah crossed the ocean on rafts made of reeds, and soon built a name for themselves as tall, Stronger and more brutal than the average man.
In 1911, while digging for guano (bat excrement - a key ingredient in fertilizer) in a cave near the town of Lovelock, Nevada, some miners uncovered a number of strange artifacts. This led to the launching of two official excavations in 1912 and then in -1924, during which thousands of ancient items were found.Among the amazing finds were the mummies, which were called "giant Lovelocks" and ranged in height from 2.5 to 3 meters, according to Archeology World.
The archaeologists also found worn sandals 38 centimeters long and a rock engraved with what appeared to be a giant handprint.

Shortly after the second dig, in 1931, an article published in the local Nevada Review-Miner newspaper claimed that two giant skeletons had been discovered at the bottom of a dried-up lake near Lablock.
These remains were measured at a height of 2.60 and 3 meters and they were embalmed in a similar way as they did in ancient Egypt.
Although this may all sound far-fetched, the legend of these strange people spread all over America.
For example, in the 16th century, a Spanish conquistador named Pedro Siza de Leon recorded an ancient Peruvian story about the origin of the giants.
In his writings, de Leon wrote that the towering figures "came through the sea in rafts of reeds, like in large boats" and that "some of the men were so tall that from the knee down they were as big as an average man".
Furthermore, further north in the Andes, between Peru and Bolivia, skeletons with elongated skulls were found.
The remains are said to be about 3,000 years old and much larger than those of normal humans.
Red hairs were also found in some of them, which leads many to believe that these are Si-Te-Cah and their relatives.

The doubts: are they not giants at all and not with red hair?
There is some debate among the protestors as to the veracity of the claims made regarding "Enki Lovelock".
During the first excavations, mummified remains of two red-haired giants were reported.
One was a female with a height of 1.98 meters and the other a male with a height of over 2.44 meters.
However, further examination found no such evidence.
In Sarah Winmooka Hopkins' book, "Life Among the Piotes: Their Mistakes and Claims", she does not mention giants, but refers to the so-called barbarians.
Research done at the University of Nevada indicates that the height of one of the "giants" found was actually 1.83 meters, and not 2.44 meters as claimed.
Skeptics also claim that chemical staining by the hands of the earth after burial is the likely reason why the mummified remains have red hair instead of black, like most Indians in the area.

In addition to this, the skeptics claim that if it is such a strong race - how did it happen that it became extinct from the world?
The Paiute tribes apparently have the answer to the question.
According to their mythology, the Si-Te-Cah waged war against them and all other neighboring tribes, wreaking terror and destruction.
After years of fighting, the tribes united against this formidable enemy.
Eventually, the last remaining giants were driven away and sought refuge inside Lovelock Cave.
The tribesmen seized their opportunity and lit a fire at the entrance to the cave, suffocating and burning alive the few remaining Si-Te-Cah.
What is surprising here is that when the first discoveries were made in the cave in 1911, evidence of an extreme fire that occurred near its opening was also found, reports the History Channel.
Even if these giants sound like figments of a fertile imagination, it's really hard to ignore this find and not think that maybe the Paiute know more than we thought.
