The third season of France's master thief recently started on Netflix.
Actor Omar Sy is back as Assane Diop.
The series is based on books from 1907.
The third season of the Netflix hit “Lupin” has been available since the beginning of October and immediately debuted at number 1 among the series.
Assane has gone into hiding and has to cope with living so far away from his wife and son.
They had to go through so much because of him.
Finally, Assane can't take it anymore and decides to return to Paris to make a crazy proposal: to turn his back on France and start a new life elsewhere.
But the ghosts of the past never really leave him and an unexpected return turns all his plans upside down.

In just a few days after its launch in January 2021, the Netflix series “Lupin” surpassed the impressive 90 million viewer mark.
During this time, it surpassed successful series such as “Bridgerton” and “The Queen's Gambit,” as

The series with Imar Sy, who celebrated great success with “Pretty Best Friends”, is one of the most streamed foreign content on the streaming service.
The charismatic leading actor, but also the setting in Paris and the novel by Arsène Lupin make the film adaptation an exciting experience.
“Lupin” actor Adama Niane died at the age of 56.

Almost two and a half years after the last episode of the second season, the new series content is back on screens.
Now master thief and gentleman crook Assane Diop must restore his reputation and save his family, which he left behind alone in Paris after taking revenge on Hubert Pellegrini in the second season.
He certainly imagined Assane Diop's return would be easier.
When his mother is kidnapped and can only be released in exchange for a “black pearl” he stole, everything hangs by a thread.

Shortly after the premiere of the first season of “Lupin,” Maurice Leblanc’s book became a bestseller.
It became a bestseller, especially in Italy, Spain, the USA, Great Britain and Korea, according to
Netflix
.
This is particularly notable since the original book was written in 1907.
Within two weeks of the start of the series, more books were sold than in a year.
Shortly before, the book was in the top 5 on Amazon.
In France, every child knows Maurice Leblanc's books, as

reports.
There you can get 18 novels, 39 novellas and five plays, as well as several adaptations for film and television.
Leblanc had initially viewed the Lupine novels as a quick source of money.
This is somewhat reminiscent of the career of Lee Child, whose Jack Reacher thrillers were also made to make money after Child lost his job in television.
Author of Lupine Becomes a Writer
But Leblanc does not become a shipowner like his father, but rather a journalist and writer.
During his career he was in contact with authors such as Gustave Flaubert and Guy de Maupassant, according to

.
His debut novel “Les Femmes” (1893) was a success.
However, he couldn't really build on that.
In 1904, editor Pierre Lafitte asked him for a sequel novel, which Leblanc accepted out of necessity.
In Great Britain, the detective stories about Sherlock Holmes, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, were a great success.
Leblanc really wanted to repeat this in France.
According to SWR, Lupin's first adventure appeared in a magazine in 1905.
“The Arrest of Arsène Lupin” becomes a popular success.
The novels for the series “Bridgerton” and the thriller “Snabba Cash” are also worth reading.
