The first time he I saw him at 8 years old, I saw this coordinated little boy, but a child like many others, who however had these eyes so happy to play and this big smile which he kept even afterwards. He already had great pleasure in playing tennis."
This is what Andrea Spizzica, federal coach and one of Jannik Sinner's very first coaches, who he followed until he was 14, spoke to Radio Anch'ioSport on Rai Radio 1.

"Yesterday's victory - adds the former coach - is not by chance, he is working a lot, it is thanks to him and his staff, who in recent years have developed him from a physical point of view, where he had problems at the beginning He will certainly work again, he will improve, he is very focused on tennis. In the last six months, in addition to the physical aspect there is also the technical aspect where the serve has made the difference, it has been the key, it is solving many situations for him as we saw yesterday." .
The family at the basis of the success: "Janik's parents are very reserved, they have never interfered in his preparation, and - explains Spizzica - from what I read they are continuing along this line. They are workers, they do their job, they are simple people and Jannik they let his life continue. Jannik made a courageous choice, leaving home at 14 and leaving his loved ones took something away from him and then gave him back so much more. But his choice is not for everyone."
New phase for Sinner, confirming himself after the victory: "I am firmly convinced that a Slam is not won by chance, all the great champions who have won a Slam have made a piece of history. Now he is ready and prepared for this great pressure, it is part of the game. Pressure is a privilege and he will take it this way."
