European stock markets are moving sluggishly while futures on Wall Street are mixed.
The price list focus is on the Fed on Wednesday.
The market is betting on a confirmation of rates in the wake of the dynamism that the American economy continues to exhibit.
The Old Continent area index is flat with real estate under sale while the Hong Kong court has ordered the liquidation of Evergrande.
Milan is the black jersey (Ftse Mib -0.74% at 30,155 points) with Interpump and Fineco (both -5.1%) under sale.
Saipem and Eni are still unbuyable (+1.6 for both).
The spread between BTPs and Bunds is stable and close to 151 points while the yield on the ten-year goes back to 3.75%.
Among the other markets, Frankfurt lost 0.4% with Bayer (-5%) heavy due to yet another problem due to the herbicide Roundup.
Prosieben, on the other hand, is selling (+6%) which Barclays has brought to 'overwight'.
Paris is flat and London remains slightly positive (+0.18%).
Among the large groups, Holcim is making good progress (+4%) on its spin-off in North America and its listing.
But also the Dutch Philips (-7%) which instead pays for the stop on sales of devices and ventilators for sleep apnea in the USA after an agreement with the FDA on defective equipment.
On the commodity front, gas - thanks to the geopolitical context - is close to 29 euros.
Oil is little moved with WTI above 78 dollars a barrel and Brent broadly holding at 83 dollars a barrel.
For exchange rates, the euro is always weak against the dollar with which it trades at 1.0823.
