Information not to be missed

The “siege of the capital” demanded by the FNSEA and the Young Farmers began on Monday.

Eight motorways around Paris (A1, A4, A5a, A6, A10, A13, A15 and A16) are affected by blockages.

Some of these axes are blocked in only one direction of traffic, others in both.

“All access to Paris is blocked,” Arnaud Quémard, general director of Sanef (Autoroutes de France), said this Tuesday morning.

Elsewhere in France, other blockages still persist, such as on the A7 near Marseille.

The Lot-et-Garonne Rural Coordination (CR47), which called on Saturday to block the Rungis market (Val-de-Marne), launched its procession of tractors Monday morning from Agen.

After a first stop in Limoges and blocked several times by the police, the procession set off again with the approval of the Ministry of the Interior.

The approximately 200 tractors plan to arrive near the market “Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning”.

A large police force, notably composed of armored gendarmerie vehicles, awaits them.

The first round of announcements from Gabriel Attal, who received the unions on Monday, was considered insufficient.

New announcements will be made this Tuesday by the government, spokesperson Prisca Thevenot announced yesterday at the end of the Council of Ministers.

What to also remember

  • General policy speech by Gabriel Attal.

The Prime Minister will reveal, at 3 p.m. in the National Assembly where the atmosphere promises to be electric, his course and his priority projects.

He will notably present his program for the middle classes and discuss the ecological transition.

This meeting, which all the Prime Ministers are attending, is hit by the anger of the farmers.

The left has already announced that it will table a motion of censure immediately.

  • Fatal fire in Marseille.

A seven-year-old child died and four others, aged 4 to 14, were hospitalized in absolute emergency.

The fire broke out early this morning at 4:45 a.m. in an apartment on the second floor of a squatted building in the Kallisté city, far north of Marseille.

    The causes are still unknown.

Fifteen people were injured in total and treated by emergency services.

  • Bonuses for police officers during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Agents of the Ministry of the Interior, including national police officers, will benefit from an exceptional bonus for their action during the Olympic Games, announced the Minister of the Interior.

Those engaged in Île-de-France will receive 1,900 euros.

This was one of the demands of the police in the run-up to the event.
