  • 1 tablespoon milk

In just a few minutes you can prepare the chocolatey puff pastry twists

  • While the oven is preheating to 200 degrees top and bottom heat (alternatively: 180 degrees fan), roll out the puff pastry and cut it into four rectangles of approximately the same size.

  • Now spread the room temperature nut nougat cream onto the dough rectangles.

    If necessary, this can also be warmed up a little beforehand in the microwave or over a water bath and thus liquefied.

  • In the next step, the rectangles coated with nut nougat cream are cut lengthwise with a small knife into five strips of equal thickness.

    Twist slightly on both sides and spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg with the tablespoon of milk and brush the puff pastry twists with it.

    Bake everything on the middle rack for about twelve to fourteen minutes in the preheated oven until golden brown.

    Optionally garnish with a little powdered sugar.
