 Italy will grow by 0.7% in 2024 and 1.1% in 2025. The International Monetary Fund predicts this in the update of the World Economic Outlook, in which it confirmed 0.7% growth this year and that for 2025 has been slightly revised upwards by 0.1 percentage points. With its +0.7%, Italy will grow more than the United Kingdom (+0.6%) and Germany (+0.5%) in 2024 . 

In 2023, Italian GDP, corrected for calendar effects and seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.7% compared to 2022, closing at +3.7%.

This was announced by Istat, specifying that in 2023 there were two working days less than in '22 and that the results of the annual national accounts will be released on March 1st.

The government estimate contained in Nadef indicated growth of 0.8% for last year but, after the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas, the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti highlighted the risk of a slowdown in the economy and therefore of a downward revision of forecasts.

The change in Italian GDP acquired for 2024, the one that would be obtained if economic growth remained zero in the four quarters of 2024, is equal to +0.1%.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Italian GDP, adjusted for calendar effects and seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter (slightly accelerating compared to the +0.1% in the months July-September) and by 0.5 % in trend terms.

 German GDP in the fourth quarter of 2023 fell by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter.

This was communicated by the Federal Statistical Office, based on provisional data, as reported by Dpa.

In 2023, GDP net of prices fell by 0.3%, confirming the first estimates of January 15th. 

 The annual growth of the Eurozone and the twenty-seven EU countries in 2023 was 0.5%.

Germany's GDP fell by 0.3% in 2023

German GDP in the fourth quarter of 2023 fell by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter.

Spain: GDP +2.5% in 2023, growth accelerates in the fourth quarter

The Spanish economy closed 2023 with annual GDP growth of 2.5% and a robust acceleration in the fourth quarter of 0.6% compared to 0.4% in the previous quarter, according to data released today by National Institute of Statistics (Ine).

In a context complicated by conflicts and despite the increase in interest rates, GDP exceeded the government's forecasts, which at the beginning of the year placed growth at levels just above 1%.
