A momentary storm broke out on the network when it was learned about the expected imitation of the holy hero in the program that was broadcast tonight (Tuesday, Keshet 12).
Offensive posts became viral and called for boycotting the viewing, because "it is forbidden to laugh at the hero of Israel".
What was all the fuss about?
A skit that, on the whole, brought out Idan Amadi as the perfect man, one that makes the average Israeli feel inferior and small compared to him.
One that all the women are in love with.
In short, the Israeli Chuck Norris.

In the skit in question, Amadi (played by Uri Lazerovitz) stood and spread love and unity from a television screen.
"Look what you did. You finished us. Because of you, we all look ugly," Yaniv Biton yelled at him from the sofa in the living room, and cake crumbs on his shirt.
"Do you know where you raised the bar? Both a fighter, also sensitive, also a singer, also a 'Fauda'. You took everything from us. My wife looks at me as if I'm handing out surplus because of you. Do you even know what it is to be mediocre, do you?"
Criticism of the "Amadi phenomenon" or any satirical sting in his direction was not in the sketch, which only provided an official stamp for Amadi's becoming the nation's hero.
Should the program be boycotted?
It turns out that there are still sacred cows, even in the "Great Land" - and that Idan Amadi is one of them.
