Stock markets of the Old Continent all on the rise after the start of Wall Street: Frankfurt and Amsterdam grew by a timid 0.2%, with Paris growing by 0.4% and London by half a percentage point.
Milan did well (+0.9%) and above all Madrid, which rose by 1.2%: both lists were pushed by the banks after the accounts of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) whose shares rose by 4%.
The BTP-Bund spread rose slightly to 152 basis points, increasing by 2% to 28.7 euros per megawatt hour for gas.
Oil is calm at 77 dollars a barrel.
In this context, Saipem's 12% slide to 1.33 euros after the accident without injuries of the pipe-laying vessel Castorone off the coast of Australian waters stands out in Piazza Affari in the high-capitalization basket.
Tenaris is also weak (-2.7%) while Pirelli loses two percentage points and Tim 1.5%.
In the industrial sector, Stellantis stands out, growing by 2.8% to 20 euros, while in the credit sector, in the wake of the Spanish Bbva, BancoBpm rises by 2.7%, Intesa by 2.7%, Mps by 2.5% and Bper by 2 ,3%.
