Highlights: Sion Shor and Daniela Nir upload famous scenes from "Friends" to their TikTok - but in the Israeli version. The two have uploaded three videos on the subject, but they plan to continue, mainly in view of the many responses they received. "We get a lot of comments that it's genius and how they didn't think of it until now, and also comments from those who didn't connect and didn't make them laugh," they say. "There is a dispute as to whether the humor also works in Hebrew," they confess.

Sion Shor and Daniela Nir are definite fans of the cult series, and following the war that increased their sense of patriotism, they decided to upload famous scenes from "Friends" to their TikTok - but in the Israeli version.

Many people are avid fans of the cult series Friends, but 25-year-old Sivan Shor and Daniela Nir took their love of the series one step further.

The two began uploading videos of them performing famous scenes from the series, in Hebrew, with a slight conversion of the names and sometimes of the content.

Shor and Nir, students who grew up in Modi'in, write and compose songs in their daily lives, and dream of breaking through in the field.

Meanwhile, as everyone knows, great videos on TikTok can lead there.

"We are devout fans of 'Friends,'" they say, "we exchange a lot of jokes between us that are related to such and such episodes, recite entire texts from the series by heart in various situations that happen to us in our lives, and most of the time people don't understand where these quotes come from."

Sion:

"We love games, and as a result of the war, I developed an even greater patriotism for the country, which made me want to appropriate the content in Hebrew."

Daniela:

"We thought it could be interesting to play the characters we like the most ourselves."

So far the two have uploaded three videos on the subject, but they plan to continue, mainly in view of the many responses they received and the particularly large amount of views each video received.

"We are asked in comments and messages to play specific scenes, such as the one where the friends are arguing about the apartment and Ross is doing a quiz, or when Phoebe finds out about Monica and Chandler - a lot of people ask for this scene. Some of the really die-hard fans actually ask for less familiar scenes."

The famous part with Chandler's clothes that Joey wears in layers, the scene where Ross realizes what was in the particularly long letter that Rachel wrote to him and more - become in the Hebrew translation something that feels familiar but also very different, and strange, especially very strange.

Some of the jokes go over great in Hebrew as well, and some make you wonder why we were laughing so much in the original segment.

"There is a dispute as to whether the humor also works in Hebrew," they confess, "We get a lot of comments that it's genius and how they didn't think of it until now, and also comments from those who didn't connect and didn't make them laugh. And it's legitimate, we came and changed a cult series for people who adore it. The jokes are very characteristic of the American culture, which is not always in harmony with the Israeli one. One of the reasons we changed the names of the characters to Israeli names is so that they could be more connected to the scene. We changed Rachel to 'Yel' because it suited us better with the character, and there were some who did not Log in. There are contents that we have to censor because they would not pass today and scenes that we feel would not pass in a Hebrew translation."

The two plan to continue producing more series, and even, perhaps, one day develop a network series themselves.

"We really aspire to reach this place of female creators, actresses and musicians, because music is very important to us, and little by little we are building it - starting small and aiming high."

I get comments that it's "genius".
