Following the publication in Vala about the rejection of the petition by the municipality of Hadera to approve the postponement of the discussion on the huge plan of the Israel Land Authority in the city until after the elections - in the discussion that took place today (Wednesday) in Tel Aviv, the plan to expand the Beit Eliezer neighborhood for deposit was decided. Meaning: thousands of new apartments will be built on an area open in the east of the city.



The controversial plan covers an area of ​​about 1,577 dunams in the Beit Eliezer neighborhood in Hadera as mentioned, and includes the construction of about 6,900 apartments, about 470 thousand square meters for commerce and employment, about 174 thousand square meters for educational and public buildings and institutions , and another 209 dunams of open public space. The plan is located east and south of the existing Beit Eliezer neighborhood and expands it, and it covers an area of ​​about 1,577 dunams.



The goal of the plan initiated by the Israel Land Authority, as it presented it, is to improve the quality of life in the eastern part of the city of Hadera By adding residences and employment in the Beit Eliezer neighborhood, adding kindergartens, parks, a cultural center and a promenade leading to high-quality green areas, while making optimal use of the area.

The plan deals with a new residential district with a diverse mix of about 6,900 units, of which about 1,300 small units between 50-80 square meters, about 2,300 units for rent and another 300 units for special housing. The new district Includes a civic center near the neighborhood square/park at the interface with the old neighborhood and creates continuity of the urban fabric for the existing neighborhood through a network of roads, paths and green spaces that continue the existing network and access the open space from the east, including a promenade along it and about 209 dunams of open public space.



Einav Ringler, The Director of the Senior Division for Planning and Projects at the Israel Land Authority welcomed the decision to entrust the plan and noted that "in Hadera, a large-scale new urban district will be established which will bring good news to the city and cause its growth and the prosperity of the urban space.

This is an important and necessary plan that will provide an answer to the needs of the population that includes a diverse mix of housing units that includes small apartments, apartments for rent and special housing, alongside the establishment of a new civic center with public buildings, educational buildings and employment and commercial areas that will lead to extensive development, improvement of service and an increase in the quality of life in the city and in the entire area ".



The project was designed by a team led by architect Tali Yaer-Kost, Yaer Architects Office, planning company Yaer-Korin Management and Planning Ltd.
