There were 585,356 workplace accident reports submitted to INAIL between January and December 2023 (-16.1% compared to 2022), of which 1,041 resulted in death (-4.5%).
There was an increase in reported occupational diseases, which amounted to 72,754 (+19.7%).
The Institute communicates this, explaining that in 2023, compared to 2022, there was a marked reduction in accident reports overall, almost exclusively due to the notable lower incidence of Covid contagion cases.
