"We will respond decisively to any attack on Iran," UN Ambassador Saeed Iravani said last night, underlining: "It is Iran's fundamental policy to respond forcefully to its enemies if they target the country, its interests and its citizens outside its national borders".

Iravani's statement came after President Joe Biden said the US had decided how to respond to the attack on a base in Jordan, which killed three soldiers, by the Iran-backed Iraqi KataibHezbollah.
