The former Prime Minister of Pakistan, ImranKhan, and his wife were sentenced today to 14 years in prison for corruption: local media reported.
Khan was sentenced yesterday to ten years in prison in a case in which he was accused of leaking state secrets.
The former Prime Minister of Pakistan and his wife Bushra Bibi were convicted of corruption in the so-called Toshakhana case (state donations archive).
The sentence follows a complaint filed against them by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the country's anti-corruption body, for irregularities in the deposit of state gifts received when ImranKhan was in power.
The ruling comes a few days before the legislative and provincial elections on 8 February, for which the former prime minister was already ineligible.
