New historical record for Italian airports which in 2023 will reach 197.2 million passengers for the first time, exceeding 2019 by 2.1%, the year of the previous record, still not influenced by the pandemic crisis.
Assaeroporti made this known by releasing last year's data.
"2023 marks the full recovery of the international segment which reaches 128 million passengers, 0.1% more than 2019", explains the Association.
In the top ten by number of passengers are Rome Fiumicino airports with 40.5 million, Milan Malpensa with 26.1 million, Bergamo with 16 million, Naples with 12.4 million, Venice with 11.3 million, Catania with 10.7 million, Bologna with 10 million, Milan Linate with 9.4 million, Palermo with 8.1 and Bari with 6.5 million.
