The Treasury today launched a new 15-year BTP maturing on October 1, 2039, placed through a syndicate with institutional investors.
Overall demand exceeded 76 billion euros.
The bond's yield was set at 11 basis points on the BTP rate on 1 March 2038, against initial indications of a yield in the area of 13 basis points.
The new BTP will have a size of 10 billion.
The placement was handled by a syndicate of banks made up of Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citibank, Intesa Sanpaolo (IMI Cib) and Morgan Stanley.
