Cutting funding to the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) will have "catastrophic consequences" for Gaza: the heads of several United Nations bodies said this today in a joint statement.
“The withdrawal of funds from UNRWA is dangerous and would lead to the collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza, with far-reaching humanitarian and human rights consequences in the occupied Palestinian territories and across the region,” reads the statement from the heads of the organizations that form the Inter-Permanent Commission. -United Nations agencies (Iasc).
