The funeral of Sandra Milo began a few minutes ago at the Church of the Artists in Piazza del Popolo in Rome.

Like yesterday at the funeral home next to the photo of the actress there are the effigy of Padre Pio and the Madonna with the blessed water of Lourdes.

Next to the coffin covered with white roses among the pews sit the children Debora Ergas, Ciro and Azzurra De Lollis and then Mara Venier, Alberto Matano, Stefania Orlando, Pino Strabioli, Beppe Convertini, Vladimir Luxuria.

The church is completely full and an unexpected crowd has gathered outside.

"I loved her and she loved me. The memories are many, we loved her. She was a kind, generous woman, very present in our friendship. Every now and then she called me and said: we haven't spoken in a long time, I wanted to tell you that I I love you" says Mara Venier.

"We are here - she says among the small crowd of admirers gathered in the square - because we love her very much. She was a free woman, she taught other women to be free too. This is the most important thing".

"A very intelligent woman. Anyone who knew her knows how sweet and respectful she was. As a free woman she always fought against prejudice, it came naturally to her" says Vladimir Luxuria.

"She is a great sufferer, but she will look at us from up there and tell us 'how cute you are - she says -. I had the privilege of having her godmother at the Lovers in cinema festival dedicated to LGBT rights".
