Alison Cain, founder and CEO of an American food company that creates unique sauces (Havens Kitchen), recently announced that she has finally sold her mansion in New York - more than a decade after the moment she first posted it on the shelf. The price: $23.4 million, worth approx. -86 million shekels. This was published today (Thursday) in the New York Post.
This is a luxurious 7-story mansion (!) which she shared with her five children and her ex-husband, Jack Schneider. Kane purchased the house in 2008 for 8.5 million dollars, and put it on the shelf 4 years later for $33 million, apparently after separating from her husband, then she also left the house and bought another house for $9.55 million, also in New York.
As mentioned, after not being able to sell it for about 12 years, The price tag has dropped by a third, but even after the settlement the price is still 4 times higher than the amount she bought the property for in 2008, during the sub-prime crisis period. The
impressive mansion is almost a dunam (1,000 square meters) in size, and comes with a total of six bedrooms. c. It was built in the 1920s and has since been rebuilt from the ground up. It comes with a huge and well-equipped kitchen, a library, an elevator and a landscaped roof garden on the sixth and seventh floors.
