Artistic blitz inside the exhibition spaces of the Museo del 900 in Milan, where an "illegal" anti-war work has today appeared: "Leonardo and bombardment, the art of war", which represents a child escaping aerial bombing.
The work of the artivist Cristina Donati Meyer was affixed to the wall of one of the exhibition rooms, as if it were part of the normal display.
The museum of the 20th century was chosen because "as is known, the main sponsor that finances the museum - explains the artist - is none other than "Leonardo", international producer and merchant of weapons (sold even in the worst war scenarios, from Israel to Turkey, from Saudi Arabia to African countries)".
"It is a shame for culture and art, which must be anti-system, free and anarchic, to see a museum of modern art sponsored by those who sell weapons. Very recently, even Pope Francis refused a donation from the arms giant of a million and a half euros for the BambinGesù hospital in Rome. Social washing must not be allowed for those who produce and sell death products. I invite pacifist feminist militants, artists who are not subservient to the powers that be, young people for the climate, to do the same thing in all Italian museums".
