The closed-door trial for group sexual violence against an Italian-Norwegian student against Ciro Grillo and three of his Genoese friends, Vittorio Lauria, Edoardo Capitta and Francesco Corsiglia, resumed this morning in the courtroom of Tempio Pausania.

For the sixth hearing, the alleged victim and main accuser of the four, who allegedly raped her on the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 in the villa in Porto Cervo owned by the Grillo family, is sitting on the witness stand.

Today's hearing is also taking place in protected mode: already yesterday, following the request presented by the civil party lawyer Giulia Bongiorno and accepted by the judging panel chaired by Marco Contu, the student finds herself answering the questions of the defense lawyers covered by a black cloth that prevents her from meeting their gazes.

Edoardo Capitta's lawyer, Mariano Mameli, continues the cross-examination of the alleged victim.

The word will then pass to the prosecutor Gregorio Capasso and the civil party lawyers.

Yesterday was another painful hearing for the student, now 23 years old.

In fact, the girl refused to see the images, a few seconds, of the video shot by the defendants on the night of the alleged rape and left the courtroom.

A clear sign of her emotionality in remembering the most sensitive parts of this story.

It was the lawyer Alessandro Vaccaro, Lauria's defender, who requested and obtained that the short film be shown in the courtroom.

A necessary vision, according to her, to ask questions and make objections to the young woman, 19 years old at the time, on what she had previously said.

Starting from the fact that, according to his testimony supported by the prosecution, he was incapable of reacting.

"I saw everything black, my body wasn't responding, I felt faint and I fainted", are the answers that the girl repeated yesterday, despite the objections of the defendants' lawyers.

Girl tested by questions, hearing suspended

Another painful hearing for the Italian-Norwegian student who accuses Ciro Grillo and three of his Genoese friends, Vittorio Lauria, Edoardo Capitta and Francesco Corsiglia, of raping her on the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 in the Porto Cervo villa of the Grillo family after an evening spent at the disco.

A hearing which is also protected today, with the alleged victim separated from the lawyers by a black cloth.

The questions from Capitta's defender, Mariano Mameli, put the witness to the test.

About ten specific questions about the night of the alleged rape to which the girl often responded with 'I don't remember', but she did not stand up to all the cross-examination, leaving the courtroom several times due to emotional breakdowns and having the hearing suspended for some minutes.

The word then passed to the prosecutor Gregorio Capasso, who asked the young woman what her condition was and if she had drunk that evening.

It is now up to the lawyer Dario Romano, who represents the civil party, to re-examine the main accuser of the four defendants.

The next hearings - the entire trial is taking place behind closed doors - have been set for 7 and 8 March, when the student's sister, one of her Norwegian friends and the father of the other alleged victim present with she in the villa on the Costa Smeralda.
